Composit Material Introduction

Composites must be man-made, designed and manufactured according to human needs.

The composite material must be composed of two or more material components with different chemical and physical properties, combined in the designed form, proportion and distribution, and there is an obvious interface between the components. It has structural designability and can be designed in composite structure.

Composite materials not only maintain the advantages of the properties of each component, but also obtain the comprehensive properties that can not be achieved by a single component material through the complementarity and correlation of the properties of each component.

The matrix materials of composite materials are divided into two categories: metal and non-metal.

Metal matrix commonly used aluminum, magnesium, copper, titanium and their alloys.

The non-metallic matrix mainly includes synthetic resin, rubber, ceramics, graphite, carbon and so on.
